Good news!
The Residents Association is now officially up and running.
At a General Meeting held at The Hub on Thursday 12th September 2024 attendees voted to accept our Constitution and they voted in our first committee. Thanks to everyone who attended.
The minutes of the meeting are published on this website. See the 'Information' tab at the top of the page.
I am delighted to have such a strong committee working for the residents. We have a breadth of experience from a range of career backgrounds and also experience of working on community projects. We are committed to making a difference.
Here are the names of your Committee Officers:
Chair: John Fedorowycz
Treasurer: Steve Collard
Secretary: Sue Hallard
Taylor Wimpey/Trinity Liaison Herdwick Fold: Jan Jefferies
Taylor Wimpey/Trinity Liaison Herdwick Gate: Peter Cowley
Environment & Landscaping: Barry White
We still have a couple of officer roles vacant: ‘Events & Fundraising’ and ‘PR & Social Media’. If you’re interested and want to know more please get in touch.
The committee will serve until the AGM (date to be decided) when everyone steps down and we vote again. Current officers may put themselves forward again but it’s open to any resident to volunteer to be on the Committee.
We were due to hold a meeting with Taylor Wimpey on 19th September but unfortunately it was cancelled. We have just managed to get it rescheduled for Tuesday 15th October. We have a full agenda to discuss with them. The Mayor of Shipston John Dinnie and our Stratford District Councillor Dave Passingham are also attending.
Our first Committee meeting will be on 23rd September. Again we have quite a lot to discuss. As a new Association there are things we need to sort out such as the website, opening a bank account, creating a number of Policy Documents (e.g. setting out how we deal with things like Health & Safety, Finance, Data Protection etc). And we need to prepare for our October meeting with Taylor Wimpey.
Following feedback at the General Meeting last week we will shortly be inviting you to take part in a quick survey. It’s entirely voluntary but we hope you will spare a few minutes to take part.
It’s important that we find out what matters to you so that we can focus our energy on the right things. So please watch out for the email and complete the survey when invited to do so.
